The Boyfriend No More

It’s true. You will no longer see reference to The Boyfriend here at EastGirlsWest. Things have changed due to a dramatic turn of events.

The Boyfriend will now have to be known as The Betrothed, because he has offered me a proposal of marriage, and I have accepted!

Of course The Boyfriend (pre-betrothal), being of the Dreamy variety, orchestrated a perfect, romantic, unique, memorable, scenic and tears-of-happiness-inducing proposal. I was, and remain, overwhelmed with love and joy.

Did I mention there is a lovely, sparkly ring involved, as well? And apparently Angela was in on this for weeks! Turns out if you ever need a secret kept, she’s your girl.

  1. Congratulations!!! I’m thrilled and will mail you all the wedding magazines that are stacked in all spare corners of my house. But you being of the stylish variety will need the more up to date, so perhaps a subscription to one would be more appropriate? Best wishes and nice job “Betrothed”. (can we call him by his real name, or is there secret Blog protocol I need to learn?)

  9. So, am I ever happy for you and the Betrothed, that you’re planning a life together. He is one lucky guy, and though we’ve never met, he must be pretty exceptional, himself (definitely what your Mom tells me…). So now I’ve seen the ring; have you set the date????
